Siska Waddington

Prior to joining Sustainable Business Practices, Siska worked for a global engineering consulting company within their environmental planning and management team. In this role Siska was primarily responsible for conducting greenhouse gas assessments as part of the environmental impact assessment process. This included identifying the emission sources associated with a proposed project, using the AGO Factors and Method Workbook to estimate greenhouse gas emissions and recommending measures to reduce these emissions. Siska was also involved in developing greenhouse gas management plans for organisations. The assessment of likely climate change impacts on projects and organisations was included in this work.

In addition to her greenhouse and climate change work, Siska also has technical skills in water and air quality. Siska was responsible for developing and implementing a water quality monitoring program in Melbourne’s northern suburbs which involved conducting the monitoring and reporting on findings. Her water quality work has also included developing a technical report discussing water quality issues and management in the Melbourne area. Air quality work that Siska has been involved in includes some basic Ausplume and TAPM modeling.

Siska has also worked within local government focusing on the implementation of the Council’s environmental management system. This involved identifying and assessing Council’s environmental impacts and recommending potential management measures.
